BREAKING: DOUBLE Resignation Rocks Capital – Democrats Shocked in

Two high-profile resignations were just announced and they have rocked Washington, DC. Democrats in Congress are in a state of shock — they never expected this to happen.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, Wells Fargo’s “chairwoman Elizabeth Duke and another board member have resigned” mere days before they were scheduled to provide congressional testimony.

Duke and the other board member, James Quigley, were reportedly “both focal points in the 113-page report released by the committee” concluding that “the bank had not fully addressed its consumer abuse issues.”

The documented abuses, which the bank admitted to back in 2015, have been a focus of the House Financial Services Committee chaired by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).

While the committee has a Democratic majority, considering the current political makeup of Congress, calling for accountability and change at Wells Fargo has been a bi-partisan effort.

Rep. French Hill (R-AR), a former community banker in central Arkansas, has vigorously questioned Wells Fargo President and CEO Timothy J. Sloan, challenging him “to be ruthless” in correcting the bank’s behavior.
