BREAKING: Vote POSTPONED – Coronavirus Fears Force…

The state of Georgia has become the second state to postpone its primary election over coronavirus concerns, moving the date from March 24 to May 19.

“Events are moving rapidly and my highest priority is protecting the health of our poll workers, their families, and the community at large,” Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said in a statement to The Hill.

Last week, Louisiana decided to postpone its primary from April 4 to June 20, also citing the coronavirus outbreak as the reason for concern.

Besides the fears that standing in lines close together and touching voting machines could spread the virus, election officials also worried that people would stay home and not vote because of infection fears.

It is unclear how the delays will impact the Democrat presidential primary, where Joe Biden is currently ahead of Bernie Sanders, but they are sure to have some kind of impact on an already eventful election season.
