Claims that individuals could self-test for coronavirus by holding their breath turned out to be fake. Stanford said the misinformation did not come from them.
Stanford tweeted, “Misinformation about COVID-19 symptoms and treatment falsely attributed to Stanford is circulating on social media and in email forwards. It is not from Stanford.”
Americans should be especially watchful at this time. Misinformation is circulated far and wide in times like these.
The best people to trust right now are doctors and other medical experts. The medical community is hard at work to find solutions to this crisis.
Amid all the worrying news is good news as countries begin to control outbreaks. Vaccines are already being developed and tests on anti-viral medications are underway. Let’s hope that progress is faster than expected.
